Scott Wells earned an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Massasoit Community College in Canton Massachusetts in 1988. He then went on to graduate from The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1991 with a BFA in Illustration and a minor concentration in computer animation.

For the next 12 years, he worked as designer, animator and art director on interactive media and television projects for a variety of clients world-wide including PBS, the Discovery Channel, Volkswagen and DVD title packages for several projects including They Might Be Giants and Everclear.

In 2003 he went to The Savannah College of Art & Design to earn his MFA in animation. In the course of his class work, he re-kindled an interest in figurative sculpture that continues to influence both his professional and personal work.

After finishing at SCAD in 2005, he moved to Los Angeles where he was hired by Rhythm & Hues to work on several film and television projects as a character modeler. His film credits at R&H include Night at the Museum, Golden Compass, Evan Almighty and Superman Returns.

Currently, Scott is a Senior Character Artist at Treyarch/Activision working on the next James Bond title for the XBox 360.

Scott co-authored a book with Patricia Beckmann for Delmar Learning titled "Exploring 3D modeling with Maya 6". He taught as an adjunct professor of Digital Media at SCAD and as a modeling instructor at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, CA.

Scott has been recognized individually for his work with 2 Emmy nominations, a Telly award, a Massachusetts Interactive Media Council Award and has been a part of several award winning projects.

He currently lives just outside Los Angeles with his wife Patricia and 2 dogs Thelma & Louise overlooking the valley in there recently completed canyon-top home .
